Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) posted a hilarious post of 'The Finisher' on their social media handles for Rajasthan Royals (RR) paceman Avesh Khan after the latter stayed unbeaten in their memorable win over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gadens on Tuesday. The Super Giants remembered how Avesh was on 0 during their high-scoring contest against the Royal Challengers (RCB) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in 2023.

With Buttler hitting the winning runs at the other end, the 27-year-old pacer went and hugged him, with the entire camp left in jubilation. Avesh Khan was also on the crease when the Super Giants were chasing 213 for victory. However, on both occasions, he finished unbeaten on 0.

Avesh Khan takes 2 wickets before Jos Buttler scores a match-winning century:

Meanwhile, Avesh Khan took a stellar one-handed catch off his own bowling to get rid of Phil Salt for his first wicket. The 2nd scalp he took was of the dangerous Andre Russell for 13 off 10 deliveries.

With the Royals chasing a daunting 224 for victory, the pressure fell largely on Jos Buttler as none of the top-order batters could stick long enough.

Buttler started raising his tempo only in the 15th over of the innings, bringing up his half-century off 36 deliveries. With 28 runs required of the last 2 overs, the Englishman took out 19 runs off the 19th and easily scored the remaining 9 in the last. The run-chase also proved to be the joint-highest successful run-chase in IPL history.

Buttler also earned the Player of the Match for his unbeaten 107. KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan couldn't help either and congratulated Buttler after the game on his epic century.
