World Autism Awareness Day 2026: Ridlan AI, AYJNISHD Join Hands For Autism Support With AI Tools, QR Systems
Ahead of World Autism Awareness Day 2026, Ridlan AI Foundation signed an MoU with AYJNISHD to deploy AI-based solutions for individuals with autism and disabilities. The initiative will introduce QR-enabled smart identity systems and AI tools to improve safety, communication, and early intervention, aiming to benefit over 10 million persons with disabilities across India.

Mumbai, April 1: Mumbai-based Ridlan AI Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (AYJNISHD) to leverage technology and artificial intelligence in transforming the lives of people with special abilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
Collaboration announced ahead of awareness day
The collaboration was announced on Wednesday, on the eve of World Autism Awareness Day, which is celebrated across the world on April 2. Under this partnership, Ridlan AI Foundation will integrate its flagship initiatives like Project Chetna and Milaap Setu with the institutional expertise and outreach of the AYJNISHD, which is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment's Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
The organisations aim to build a scalable digital ecosystem that enhances safety, accessibility, and real-time support for vulnerable communities.
Technology-driven support initiatives
The collaboration will focus on deploying QR-enabled smart identity systems that allow instant access to critical medical, behavioral, and emergency information. It will also introduce AI-powered tools designed to support communication, enable early intervention, and assist caregivers in managing the needs of individuals with autism.
Through coordinated implementation frameworks involving institutional networks, NGOs, and government bodies, the initiative envisions a long-term impact reaching over 10 million Persons with Disabilities across India.

Speaking on the occasion, Akshay Ridlan emphasised the broader vision behind the partnership, stating, “This MoU is not just a partnership, but a commitment to dignity, safety, and empowerment for millions of individuals and families. On World Autism Awareness Day, we reaffirm our mission to harness AI and digital innovation to create inclusive ecosystems where no one is left behind.”
