In a viral video circulating on social media platforms, a woman can be seen mercilessly thrashing a dog in Pali Hill in posh Bandra West locality. The disturbing video shows a woman dressed in a saree on a street in Mumbai's Pali Hill beating a Beagle with its leash. The woman who appears to be a dog walker in the video can be seen mercilessly thrashing the dog. The woman after hitting the dog can be seen threatening the dog of hitting more.

Incident Goes Viral, Netizens Demand Action

Soon after the incident went viral, many people expressed dismay at this heinous act. In an Instagram post by @streetdogsofbombay, it was claimed that PPA INDIA's Chief Legal Officer, Advocate Trivankumar Karnani, has taken proactive steps by initiating communication with the owner of the animal featured in the video, who is presently residing in Dubai. Additionally, the owners of the dog quickly fired the woman from her job. The owner of the dog also claimed that the circulating video is an old video of the incident.

Beagle Rescued, Sent To Jehan's Canine Centre

Now in a recent update, the beagle is rescued and now finds sanctuary at Jehan's Canine Centre. The owner, currently in Dubai, will return this weekend, as confirmed by Advocate Trivankumar Karnan. Concerns about animal cruelty laws and community outrage led to the joint decision to keep Doggie safe at the day care centre until the owner's return, ensuring legal compliance and the well-being of our furry friends.

Such an incident has not happened for the first time as there have been many cases of human cruelty towards animals, especially pet animals. Dog owners, as well as caretakers are often seen mistreating their pets in a cruel manner.

Twitter user @sats45, who shared the video of the incident on the microblogging site, has urged netizens to identify the woman and inform the owner about the brutal treatment meted out to their beloved pet.

This incident in Mumbai follows closely on the heels of another case of cruelty against small puppies in Navi Mumbai. 

As per reports, a groomer was discovered mistreating and beating small dogs and pets. The incident was uncovered when the owners of the grooming center reviewed CCTV footage after receiving a complaint against the accused in another matter.

The footage showed the accused identified as Rishi physically assaulting the small puppies under his care. Instead of looking after the pets, Rishi was seen abusing them.
