Thane: RDMC's Quick Response Saves Two As Car Gets Trapped In Lift At High-Rise Tower

Two people were safely evacuated after their car became trapped in an automatic lift at a 20-story residential building in Thane on Saturday night. No casualties were reported, according to officials from the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC).
The RDMC identified the rescued individuals as Girish Jadhav and Namrata Jadhav, residents of the same building. The incident occurred at a high-rise located in Shastri Nagar, Pokhran Road No. 1, Thane West.
Officials stated that the building comprises 20 floors, with three designated for car parking and the rest for residential apartments.
Yasin Tadvi, Chief of the Regional Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, said, "We received information at 10:48 PM about two individuals trapped in an automatic car lift in Thane. A team, along with one fire engine and one rescue vehicle, was dispatched to the spot. The rescue operation was completed within 15 minutes."
The cause of the lift malfunction is yet to be determined, officials added.
