Thane News: Contractor Booked After 20-Year-Old Worker Dies Due To Negligence At Saravli MIDC Unit In Bhiwandi
The Kongaon Police booked a 47-year-old contractor who allegedly did not provide safety measures for a 20-year-old worker, which resulted in the victim's death during treatment at the hospital. The police stated that due to the contractor's negligence, the victim was severely injured while working at the company. The deceased has been identified as Avnish Patel, aged 20, a resident of Bhiwandi.

Thane: The Kongaon Police booked a 47-year-old contractor who allegedly did not provide safety measures for a 20-year-old worker, which resulted in the victim's death during treatment at the hospital.
The police stated that due to the contractor's negligence, the victim was severely injured while working at the company. The deceased has been identified as Avnish Patel, aged 20, a resident of Bhiwandi.
The incident took place at the New Empire Company located in Saravli MIDC on February 24 when he was engaged in work as a helper in the dyeing. The contractor has been identified as Bablu Phulchand Yadav, 47, a resident of Ambernath who is labourer contractor by profession.
A complaint was filed by Dhirendra Patel, a father of the deceased Avnish Patel. As per the FIR, the complainant stated that he, along with his brother and Avnish, was working in the company. The bundle of clothes was being kept in the dying center of the company by Avnish on the first-floor passage site.
The bundle of clothes from second floors fell on his neck, causing him to collapse unconscious. The workers promptly rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby hospital where his treatment was underway. On February 27, his condition was deteriorating and he was referred to KEM Hospital in Mumbai.
On March 7, the health condition of Patel was deteriorating, and he died during treatment. The post-mortem was conducted, and the final rites were performed. The police said that the bone in his neck was seriously injured, and he succumbed to his injuries.
The police booked an FIR based on the complaint stating that the contractor did not provide any safety and security measures to the deceased, which resulted in his death while working at the company. An FIR has been registered against him under the relevant sections of 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nayay Sanhita.
