Thane: Man Arrested For Killing His Friend For Sexually Harassing Wife In Badlapur
In Thane, a 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly murdering his friend, who was sexually harassing his wife. The accused murdered his friend with a hammer and iron rod after inviting him home for drinks.

Thane: Police officials stated on Tuesday that a 30-year-old man has been arrested in Maharashtra's Badlapur region in Thane district for allegedly murdering an acquaintance who had been harassing his wife, according to news agency PTI.
On January 11, Sukant Shatrugana Parida (29) passed away in the residence of the accused, Naresh Shambu Bhagat (30), who notified the police about the man's death at his home in the Badlapur locality, they stated, as reported by PTI.

The police transferred the body to a state hospital for an autopsy and initially filed a case of unintentional death. While investigating the case, the police pursued various leads and arrested Bhagat on suspicion, stated a police report, according to PTI.
Following thorough questioning, Bhagat confessed the police that the deceased often visited his home and harassed his wife, resulting in disputes between the two men and the couple, as reported by PTI.
