Thane: The Higher Secondary School certificate (HSC) board examination is around the corner and the Nobel Gurukul Convent school and junior college in Kalher in Thane district withheld hall tickets of ten students studying in the science faculty of 12th standard over non-payment of fees. The college principal refused to give the hall tickets to students, without hearing their parents.
Paresh Chaudhary, a social activist from Thane, came to know about the incident and he rushed to the college with few of his supporters. Chaudhary requested the principal to give hall tickets to students. The principal did not listen to even Chaudhary.
Meanwhile, Chaudhary contacted the secondary education officials over call and asked them to interfere and provide the hall tickets to the students, but the college administration was adamant.
The principal of the college has taken a stand that he will give the hall ticket only if the board of directors of the school ask him to do so.
Vishwajit Mohanty (Chairman - Bhagwat Prasad Gurukul Education Trust & Noble Education Foundation) said that, "We are not afraid of anyone's threat, the social workers and political party leaders protest in front of the school and college to shine their political career. We are paying the salary by clearing the loan and the parent are not paying the fees. It has been clarified that the hall ticket will not be given until the fee is paid."
