Thane: 35-Year-Old Teacher Sexually Assaults, Asks 3 School Boys For Naked Massage In Ambernath; Arrested

The Ambernath police have arrested a 35-year-old teacher for allegedly sexually assaulting three schoolboys aged between 9 and 15 in private tuition classes in Ambernath. The incident took place at a private tuition class between July and October. The teacher taught every subject to the students.

The incident came to light when the football teacher asked the students why they had not gone to classes over the last few days. The students told the female teacher that the accused would tell them to remove their clothes, get nude, and massage the teacher’s head and back. Thereafter, the football teacher alerted a friend working with a non-governmental organisation and approached the police station on Saturday to lodge a case against the teacher.

Senior police inspector Balaji Pandhare said, “The workers of the NGO, along with the victims, approached the police station and a case was filed based on their complaint.”

Subsequently, after verifying the incident, the accused teacher was arrested and produced in court, and he was remanded to police custody until December 10 for further investigation.

A case was registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
