Kalyan: Incidents of dog attacks continue to raise concern among residents in Kalyan, with a pet dog allegedly attacking and biting a young child in the Wadekar area of Kalyan West. The incident, which took place at the Saisharan building, was captured on a CCTV camera installed on the premises.

Child Attacked Near Society Gate While Leaving With Another Child

According to information available, two children were leaving their housing society when the pet dog suddenly approached them near the gate and attacked one of them. The child was caught off guard by the sudden attack and was bitten by the dog before falling to the ground with injuries.

The CCTV footage of the incident has since surfaced, triggering concern among residents and parents in the area. The incident has once again brought the issue of children's safety in residential complexes into focus.

Residents concerned over safety of children

Residents said incidents involving dog attacks have repeatedly raised concerns in the Kalyan-Dombivli area. The latest incident, involving a pet dog rather than a stray, has also raised questions about the responsibility of pet owners and the need to ensure that animals do not pose a threat to other residents, particularly children.
