The traffic department of Navi Mumbai police has urged to avoid the mumbai lane near Uran phata for a month owing to road work by PWD that could cause traffic issues and instead have suggested other routes. The officials said that concreting work on the road along Mumbai Lane beneath the Uran phata Bridge on the Sion Panvel Highway will be carried out from February 22 to March 22. Authorities have urged all drivers to use designated alternative routes during this period to avoid travel disruptions and traffic congestion.
Officials have recommended that vehicles traveling from Pune towards Mumbai take the alternative route via the Panvel Exit Atal Setu. Meanwhile, light vehicles using the Kalamboli route to Mumbai are advised to turn left under the CBD Bridge and follow the Killa Junction–Palm beach route to reach the city.
“The Sion-Panvel road will not be shut but there are chances of heavy traffic congestion hence it is suggested to take alternate routes in order to avoid being stuck in traffic,” deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Tirupati Kakade said.
