Muslim activists have called for the boycott of 'Sikandar', accusing the director of Islamophobia in the past.
Mumbai-based lawyer and activist Shaikh Faiyaz Alam has urged Muslims to boycott A R Murugadoss' film this Eid, citing the director’s past Islamophobic narratives in Thuppakki. Instead of spending on entertainment, donate for Gaza and invest in Muslim education, legal aid, and political empowerment, Alam said.

Alam added that with the Waqf Amendment Bill set to be tabled, there are questions whether leaders like Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu, and Chirag Paswan will stand with Muslims or betray them. Alam also calledfor a boycott of Israeli products and emphasises that defending Palestine is defending Islam.
“This is not a time for celebration—it is a time for sacrifice,” says Alam.
