Mumbai-Pune Expressway Accident: 2 Dead, 1 Injured After Car Crashes Into Railing In Maval Taluka - Disturbing Visual Surfaces
Two people died, and another was seriously injured after a speeding Skoda car reportedly lost control on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway and crashed into an iron safety railing. Disturbing visuals showed the railing piercing the windshield and damaging the sunroof. Fire department and highway officials reached the spot soon after the accident.

Mumbai: A horrific accident took place on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, claiming two lives, while one person is seriously injured. A speeding Skoda car travelling from Mumbai towards Pune reportedly lost control and crashed violently into the iron safety railing on the expressway.
Disturbing visuals shared by mumbai.insight showed the iron railing piercing through the front windshield of the car, while the sunroof was also seen damaged, showing the impact of the crash. Not just this, people were also seen gathering around at the accident site. The black Skoda car bore an MH-12 registration number, which belongs to the Pune RTO.

Officials from the fire department and highway authorities reached the spot soon after the incident. According to the report, two people died on the spot, while the third injured person was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, in another recent accident case, three persons were killed and two others sustained serious injuries after three heavy vehicles collided and overturned on the Mumbai-bound carriageway of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near kilometre 38.100 at Borghat.

The accident took place when a truck bearing registration number KA-56-2199, travelling from Pune towards Mumbai, allegedly went out of control and rammed into a truck (RJ-19-GG-4175) and a container truck (MH-04-GR-2874) moving ahead on the expressway. Following the impact, all three vehicles overturned on the road.
In another accident, 13 people lost their lives in a tragic road accident that occurred on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway near Dhaniwari village in Palghar district. The accident occurred at around 4:00 pm when an Eicher Tempo carrying nearly 30 to 40 passengers, travelling for an engagement ceremony, allegedly entered the wrong side of the Mumbai-Gujarat lane. The Maharashtra government also announced Rs 5 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased, along with full medical support for the injured.
Prior to that, a high-speed Ducati motorcycle rammed into a car at Moraj Signal in Sanpada on Palm Beach Road in the early hours, leaving the rider seriously injured.
