Mumbai is likely to witness partly cloudy skies with occasional spells of light rain across the city and suburbs on Saturday, August 22, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The civic body shared the weather update as part of its routine monsoon advisories, urging citizens to stay updated on local weather and tide conditions.
BMC Releases Tide Timings
The BMC’s tide report for Saturday lists a low tide at 2:55 pm, with the sea expected to reach a height of 2.61 metres. This will be followed by a high tide at 7:03 pm, when the tide is expected to reach 2.71 metres.
The next low tide is scheduled for 1:49 am on Sunday, August 23, with a height of 1.67 metres.
Tide Information Important During Monsoon
The civic body’s tide schedule is particularly relevant during the monsoon, when heavy rainfall combined with high tides can affect drainage and increase the risk of waterlogging in low-lying areas.
