Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a teenage boy, reportedly 14-year-old, who was a son of a famous Gujarati television actress, took his own life by leaping from the 57th floor of a Kandivali skyscraper on Wednesday night. The actress, living in the Sea Brook complex in western Mumbai, is recognized for her performances in Gujarati TV serials.
Initial reports indicate that the unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 7 pm following a conflict between the mother and her son. She was said to have requested that he go to his tutoring sessions, but the boy was reluctant. The discussion intensified, and in a burst of anger, he ascended to the building's highest floor and leaped.
The incident took place at the evening hours of July 2, when 14-year-old boy, Pant Aarti Makwana, leaped from the Brooke building located in the Kandivali area on Wednesday. Reports state that the boy's mother mentioned she requested he attend tutoring around 7pm, but he seemed hesitant. After being persistently urged, the boy finally exited the house, leading his mother to think he had gone to his classes.
Shortly after, the guard reached the home and told the mother that her child had plummeted from the building. The police reported that she discovered him sprawled in a pool of blood. A report of accidental death has been submitted, and the body has been transported for autopsy.
Authorities reported that no suspicious details were identified in the family's account, but an in-depth investigation is currently ongoing.
