Mumbai: Minor Fire Breaks Out At Freemasons Hall In Fort; Fireman Injured During Firefighting Operations

A fireman sustained injuries while battling a blaze at Freemasons Hall, located opposite Sterling Cinema in Fort, on Saturday afternoon. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and there were no people trapped inside the building during the incident. The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished by 5:36 pm.
The fire broke out on the second floor of the ground-plus-two structure at around 2:20 pm, with the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) classifying it as a 'level 1' (minor) fire. Three fire engines, an ambulance, and a breathing apparatus van were quickly rushed to the spot. The entire building was filled with thick smoke.

Fireman Pankaj Parshuram Bhoir, aged 25, suffered injuries to his right hand and was swiftly transported to GT Hospital in a mobile police van. Doctors at the hospital confirmed that he is receiving treatment and his condition is stable. "The fire was brought under control in less than three hours, but the exact cause remains undetermined.
