According to reports, Anusaya Maroti Dhavne, 75, a resident of Pipanlagav Maruti in Varora taluka, passed away on January 29. As Anusaya's body was being taken to the cremation ground, a monkey arrived. Perceived by some as a manifestation of Lord Hanuman, the monkey paid respects to the mortal remains. Reports suggest it approached the deceased, removed her bangles, placed her glasses aside, and embraced the body.

When Anusaya's family returned to collect her ashes, the monkey reappeared, accompanying them home before departing.
