Central Railway Announces Major NI Blocks On Kalyan–Lonavala Section From Nov 26; Pune–Lonavala Suburban & Multiple Long-Distance Trains To Be Affected; Check Details

Mumbai, Nov 22: Central Railway’s Mumbai division has announced special traffic and power blocks for pre Non-Interlocking (NI) and NI works at Lonavala-BVT yard and Lonavala Up yard on the Kalyan-Lonavala section. These works are being undertaken as part of yard remodelling and the extension of three R&D lines in the Down yard, along with five R&D lines and an additional line in the Up yard.

Blocks Scheduled from 26 November to 6 December

The blocks are scheduled from 26 November to 6 December 2025, with repercussions on train operations only from 26 November to 29 November. From 30 November onwards, train services are expected to run normally.

26 & 27 November (Down line: 11:25 am– 6:25 pm):

Mail & Express trains will face regulation:

. Jodhpur-Hadapsar Express (20495) at Karjat: 45 minutes

. CSMT-Chennai Express (22159) at Lonavala: 1 hour

. LTT-Madurai Express (22101) at Bhivpuri Road: 10 minutes

. CSMT-Bhubaneshwar Konark Express (11019) and CSMT-Hyderabad Express (22732): 10–15 minutes delay at Lonavala

. LTT-Kakinada Express (17222) at Bhivpuri Road: 10 minutes (only on 27 Nov)

Impact on Suburban train

Suburban trains departing Pune at 09.57 am ,11.17 am 3 pm , 4.25 pm and suburban train departing Shivaji Nagar at 12.05 noon will see short termination/origination at Talegaon.

Apart from that several Lonavala – Shivaji Nagar /Pune suburban trains will short originate from Talegaon and will depart Talegaon at 11.56 am, 3.16 pm 3.56 pm 5.56 pm & 6.36 pm.

Similarly, 4 Lonavala – Shivaji Nagar /Pune suburban trains will short originate from Talegaon and will depart Talegaon at 11.56 am, 3.16 pm & 3.56 pm

. Daund-Indore Express (22943): 1 hr

. Kolhapur-CSMT Koyna Express (11030): 40 min

. Nagercoil-CSMT Express (16352 / 16340): 1 hr 30 min (only 28 Nov / 29 Nov respectively)

. CSMT-Chennai Express (22159): 10 mins at Lonavala

. Pune-CSMT Intercity & Indrayani Express (12128 / 22106): 10–15 min delay at CSMT

. Madurai-LTT Superfast Express (22102): 10–15 min delay at LTT on 29 Nov

. CSMT-Hospete Express (11139): delayed departure from CSMT

Short Termination / Short Origination of Pune Suburban trains on 28 and 29 November

Four Pune -Lonavala suburban trains will be short terminated at Talegaon Trains departing Pune at 09.57 am 11.17 am, 3 pm & 4.25 pm .

Five Lonavala – Shivaji Nagar /Pune suburban trains will short originate from Talegaon and will depart Talegaon at 11.56 am, 3.16 pm, 3.56 pm 5.56 pm & 6.36 pm.

No disruptions are expected between 30 November and 6 December.
