Amit Shah In Mumbai: Union Home Minister To Inaugurate NUCFDC Office, Launch Cybersecurity Centre Today
Union Minister Amit Shah arrived in Mumbai on Friday night for a two-day visit and was received by CM Devendra Fadnavis and other leaders. Shah will inaugurate NUCFDC's new headquarters on Saturday and attend programmes focused on strengthening cybersecurity and technological capabilities in urban cooperative banking.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived in Mumbai late Friday night for a two-day visit. He was received at the airport by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde and other senior leaders. Shah later reached the Sahyadri Guest House, where he is staying during his visit.
Shah's Schedule For Today
Shah is scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed headquarters of the National Urban Co-operative Finance and Development Corporation Limited (NUCFDC) in Mumbai at 11 am on Saturday. The programme will be attended by senior representatives from the cooperative and banking sectors.
During the visit, Shah will also interact with representatives of state urban cooperative bank federations and district associations from Maharashtra. A Memorandum of Understanding between NUCFDC and the National Forensic Sciences University is also scheduled to be exchanged during the programme.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening cybersecurity, technological capabilities and institutional capacity in the urban cooperative banking sector. Shah will later attend a programme at the BSE International Convention Centre along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, where he is expected to inaugurate a Security Operations Centre (SOC) dedicated to strengthening the cybersecurity framework of urban cooperative banks.

Apart from his scheduled programmes, Shah is also expected to meet BJP leaders from Mumbai and Maharashtra during his visit and review the political situation in the state. According to the information provided, informal meetings with some key state leaders are also likely during his two-day Mumbai tour.
The visit comes at a time when the BJP-led Maharashtra government is focusing on strengthening the cooperative banking sector and improving its technological and cybersecurity infrastructure.
