Understanding OMAD: One Meal A Day
OMAD, short for 'One Meal A Day,' is a form of intermittent fasting where individuals consume all of their daily calories within a single eating window, typically lasting one hour. The rest of the day-around 23 hours-is spent fasting, with only water, black coffee, or non-caloric drinks allowed. The diet aims to simplify eating, reduce calorie intake, and promote fat burning through prolonged fasting.

Why Karan chose OMAD?
In a candid conversation, Karan shared that traditional diets didn’t work well for him due to his erratic schedule and love for food. OMAD offered him a structured yet flexible routine. By eating just once a day, he found it easier to manage cravings, stay focused, and maintain a calorie deficit, which is crucial for weight loss. He also mentioned feeling more mentally clear and energetic since starting the diet.
Is OMAD right for everyone?
While OMAD has worked for Karan Johar, it may not be suitable for everyone. Health experts often recommend consulting a doctor or nutritionist before starting such a restrictive eating plan, especially for those with underlying health conditions, blood sugar issues, or a history of disordered eating. OMAD can be effective for weight loss, but it requires discipline and careful meal planning to ensure nutritional needs are met.
