Players Rally To Save Playground, Call Bandh Over CM Rise School Plan In MP’s Neemuch
Players and sports enthusiasts in Neemuch have intensified their campaign to save the Higher Secondary School playground from a proposed CM Rise School construction. After talks with the administration failed, organisers called for a city bandh till 1 pm on Saturday. Protesters demanded an alternative site for the school.

Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): A Neemuch shutdown has been called for Saturday till 1 pm as part of ongoing campaign to save a playground on which the administration plans to construct a CM Rise School.
Organisers said they were contacting traders for support and claimed that the response from the business community had been positive.
The bandh call comes after a meeting with the administration on Thursday failed to reach a consensus.
Earlier, around 400-500 players and sports enthusiasts took out a rally from the Higher Secondary School Ground, carrying the national flag and raising slogans while patriotic songs played.

The protesters demanded that the proposed CM Rise School should not be constructed on the sports ground and that an alternative site be selected.
The rally passed through major city roads before returning to the Higher Secondary School Ground.
Players said the ground is used for football, running and other sports practices and is essential for their training. Traders, including Sarafa businessman Sharad Agrawal, also expressed support for protecting the ground.
