Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Police arrested a man with illegal MD drugs worth about Rs1 lakh in the Khajrana area, police said on Thursday. The suspect is being questioned about the source of the drugs, as police believe more people may be arrested in connection with the case.
According to police, the suspect, identified as Sameer alias Tagda, was caught near Bombay International School while sitting under an electric pole. When the police team approached him, he tried to flee but was quickly surrounded and detained. During the search, officers recovered around 10 grams of MD from his possession.
During questioning, the suspect allegedly admitted he was addicted to drugs and had started selling MD to fund his addiction and earn quick money. Police have registered a case under the NDPS Act and started further investigation. Officials said they will question him in custody to gather information about the source of the drugs and any possible network involved.
12-year-old missing boy reunited with parents
Police helped reunite a 12-year-old boy who had lost his way late at night in the Pardeshipura area with his family on Wednesday night. Police said they located the boy within two hours of receiving information.
According to police, the child was found near Teen Puliya in the Pardeshipura area around 2 am after a call was received by the Dial 112 emergency service. The response team arrived at the scene and took the boy into their care. As he could not provide details about his family, police searched the surrounding area and shared his information through local networks and police stations.
After identifying his family, the child was handed over safely following proper verification. Family members thanked the police and appreciated their efforts.
