Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a bid to tackle traffic congestion in Devguradia area, a joint team comprising district administration and police seized eight Hyva trucks and dumpers on Friday.
The operation took place near the Retimandi market, where truck drivers were warned to confine their vehicles to designated parking areas within the Retimandi premises.
The initiative, ordered by district collector Asheesh Singh, was led by Bicholi SDM Ajay Bhushan and included other officers from the police department. The seized vehicles have been relocated to the Khudel police station. Officials said that similar action would continue in future to improve traffic flow.
Moreover, sand buyers were issued warnings to park legally for the convenience of commuters and were reminded to purchase sand through authorised channels.
Stolen bike found
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): During a routine checking drive focused on improper number plates at Radisson Square on Friday, traffic management police found a stolen bike. The incident unfolded when constables Ajay and Jitendra tried to stop the bike's rider, who tried to flee.
Traffic Subedar Raju Sanwle quickly took charge, gathering information about the motorcycle and confirming its status as stolen. The bike had been reported missing from the Vijay Nagar area in November 2023.
Following the identification of the stolen vehicle, Vijay Nagar police were notified and are currently searching for the rider involved in the theft.
