CBN Uncovers Hidden MDMA Drug Factory In Mandsaur, Seizes 80.96 Kg Of Chemicals

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): The Central Narcotics Bureau (CBN) has uncovered an MDMA drug factory hidden in an orange orchard in Mandsaur district.

Located near Kharakheda village in the Garoth tehsil, the factory was raided on Monday, and a large amount of chemicals used for making drugs was seized.

The CBN issued a press release late on Monday night with details of the operation.

CBN officials reported that the factory was located in a remote area, making it difficult for vehicles to reach. The team had to walk to the site.

There, a building in the middle of the orchard had been converted into a lab. One person was arrested at the scene, who revealed that chemicals used for drug production were buried in the field.

The team then dug and recovered 80 kilograms of chemicals.

The chemicals seized included 80.96 kilograms of solid substances and 7.5 liters of liquid chemicals.

These chemicals could be used to produce up to 50 kilograms of MDMA synthetic drugs every month.

Among the chemicals recovered were acetone, toluene, hydrochloric acid, sodium sulfate, sodium carbonate, sulfuric acid, bromine water, and ethanol.

The team also found equipment used for drug production, including a UV controller, vacuum oven, electronic scales, test tubes, funnels, pipettes, beakers, flasks, filters, stands, and water pumps.

The accused has been charged with drug trafficking.
