Pune: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol on Saturday reacted to Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's Pune leg of student outreach campaign "Chhatron Ki Goonj", saying that it "won't achieve anything."

Speaking to reporters, the Minister said, "This won't achieve anything because he is already touring the entire country anyway, yet it is having no real impact. I believe the people of Pune have consistently voted based on performance and placed their trust in the work done—specifically under PM Modi's leadership..."

The Minister alleged that money was distributed to bring people and payments were made to influencers. "How people are being brought there, the money being distributed, and the payments made to influencers. I don't think this needs to be taken too seriously," he said.

Meanwhile, Gandhi highlighted the potential of women in the country, emphasising that India's true strength lies in its citizens, particularly its women's population, while addressing the Chhatron Ki Goonj.

"Many times, people ask me, 'What is India's biggest strength?' You get many answers when you ask this question. Somebody will say our economy. Somebody will say our military. Somebody will say our medical system. Somebody might even say our people, but I am very clear on what is India's biggest strength, our biggest asset, and that strength is 70 crore unique journeys, unique imaginations, unique dreams that the women of India are living," Gandhi said.
