Faridabad: Incidents of deaths due to sudden heart attacks have risen in India over the past few years. Several scary videos of people collapsing due to heart attacks surfaced online. In the latest incident, a man suddenly collapsed while exercising in a gym in Haryana's Faridabad on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Sharma. According to a report by News18, Sharma was around 170 kg when he suffered a heart attack while working at a gym in Ballabhgarh. He had gone to the gym with his friend Rohit.
The tragic incident was recorded on CCTV. In the footage, it could be seen that Sharma suddenly fell to the ground. Sharma drank a small cup of black coffee before starting his workout, reported the media house, quoting his friend Rohit. He reportedly collapsed while performing shoulder pull-ups.
Video Of The Incident:
People present in the gym rushed towards Sharma for help after hearing the noise. They gave him water, but Sharma vomited and fell again. CPR was also performed on him twice, reported the media house.

The gym staff called doctors from Sarvodaya Hospital. However, they declared him dead after examining. Sharma used to go regularly to the gym for the past few months and was putting in efforts to lose weight. The deceased's father told the media house that Sharma had never taken any steroids.
Sharma was married for four years and had a 2.5-year-old daughter.
The police have taken the CCTV footage of the incident. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
