She took home the trophy, Rs 25 lakh prize money and a brand new car. Aditya Narayan hosted the fifteenth season of Indian Idol 15, and the judges were Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Badshah. Manasi Ghosh, a 24-year-old singer from Kolkata, West Bengal, discovered her passion for music early on and decided to pursue it professionally while she was in the 8th grade. She received training in musical singing from a young age.

During a special episode on Indian Idol 15, Manasi's parents had joined her on the stage, where they revealed that Manasi had taken on financial responsibilities from a young age and fondly recalled her telling them, "I will buy you many houses."

Manasi also participated in Super singer season 3, where she emerged as the first runner-up.
