How Vidya Balan Met Siddharth Roy Kapur

On how Vidya met Siddharth, the actress revealed in a 2023 interview with Humans of Bombay that life kept bringing them together around that time. They eventually ended up at a party hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, who played Cupid in their relationship.

Vidya recalled that Johar had invited her to a party at his home. She was a little surprised by the invitation as she did not really know him at the time, although she thought it was a sweet gesture.

"I went to his house and I didn't really know most of the others. I was a bit shy and Siddharth walks in and because we had just watched [a] play together, we ended up having a chat. That's when probably something happened that night. Later of course, I got to know that Karan had wanted us to meet. This was an intentional invitation. And it worked," said Balan.
