Actress Payal Ghosh, who is known for her performance in the film Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, recently shared a note on Instagram which read, "Agar main r*ndi hoti na.. sorry for my language.. agar main open minded actress hoti toh aaj main top ki bollywood actress ke list main hoti, lekin Kya karu main aise family mein pali bari hui hu.. my conscious doesn't allow me to do anything as such to earn money or fame.... (sic)"

This post of the actress has grabbed everyone's attention, and netizens have been wondering what made her share the note. Payal captioned the post as, "Will delete it late..."

Payal Ghosh Reveals Producers & Directors Tell Her To Compromise

The Free Press Journal contacted Payal Ghosh to know reason behind the note. The actress told us, "I feel that until and unless you come from a film family lineage, till the time you sleep with anyone, it’s literally impossible to bag a big project as lead. Every human being is a by-product of their own conditioning and their experiences in life. Similarly, whatever I have experienced in life, my opinions and perceptions are based out of that. After Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi with late Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, literally every film where I have been called for audition or where I have voluntarily auditioned, the conversation on compromise has happened."

"Either it is the producer or the director. But my culture, values and roots don’t allow me to compromise with my self-respect for work. I have had many such experiences that made me feel ridiculous about myself. Today, when I look back, I feel that had I taken up any of the compromise offers, my career would have been different. I have seen many around become everything from nothing by just sleeping around. It’s an open secret that not everyone wants to talk about," she added.

Payal was last seen in the movie Fire of Love Red, which was released in 2024. Apart from being an actress, she is also a politician and is a part of the Republican Party of India (Ramdas Athavale's party).
