'This Incident Was Definitely Upsetting': URI Actress Riva Arora Faces Verbal Harassment By Delivery Agent

She said the situation escalated despite intervention from her family, prompting them to involve Mumbai Police and file a complaint with the delivery app, awaiting resolution.

Riva Arora is a popular child actor and social media influencer known for her roles in films like URI: The Surgical Strike, Mom, and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. The actress recently went through a disturbing incident involving an online food delivery that allegedly turned into harassment. Riva stated that she and her family endured around 30 to 40 minutes of verbal harassment.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Riva said she placed a Blinkit order on April 26 at around 3:30 pm. Describing the delivery agent’s behaviour, she said, "From the beginning, his tone was rude and inappropriate. When I responded, the situation didn’t improve." She added that her mother, Nisha Arora, had to intervene to calm the situation. Riva further said, "But instead of resolving it, the delivery agent continued to behave disrespectfully."
The situation reportedly escalated when her sister Muskan Arora stepped in and encountered the delivery agent in the lift while he was leaving. Riva said, "When my sister encountered him in the lift while he was leaving, he continued using inappropriate language despite being asked to stop." She described the incident as "disrespectful" and "inappropriate," alleging that the derogatory language was used without any provocation.

Riva added that the behaviour did not stop despite repeated attempts to ignore it. She also stated that instead of letting the matter go, they followed the delivery agent downstairs and contacted Mumbai Police, who responded promptly and arrived at the location. She said, "They responded very promptly and took immediate action when they arrived. The matter was handled at the time, and as of now, it is being taken care of through the appropriate channels."
Riva further mentioned that a formal complaint has been filed with the delivery app, though a clear response and resolution are still awaited. She also stressed that companies should ensure better training for delivery personnel regarding behavioural guidelines. Riva said, "This incident was definitely upsetting, but I’m focusing on staying positive and continuing with my routine."
