Sheezan Khan's mother breaks silence on Tunisha Sharma's death: 'She was like my daughter...'

Popular TV actor Tunisha Sharma died by alleged suicide on Saturday. The actress hung herself in the make-up room on the sets of her show 'Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul'.

Soon after her death, Tunisha's mother lodged a complaint against her ex-boyfriend and co-star Sheezan Khan for abetting to her suicide, following which he was arrrested and sent to four-day police custody.

And now, Sheezan's mother has finally broken her silence over her son's involvement in the case.

As per a report in Amar Ujala, Sheezan's mother said, "Tunisha was a very sweet child. She was like my own daughter. The police is investigating her death and my son Sheezan is also cooperating with them. The truth will definitely be out soon."

Shraddha murder case connection

Reportedly, Sheezan broke up with Tunisha just 15 days before her death.

As per a report in ANI, Sheezan told police that he was "so disturbed by the atmosphere in the country" that emerged after the murder of Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawalla, that he decided to end his relationship with Tunisha.

He also cited their different religions and age gap as reasons behind ending their relationship.

Tunisha Sharma's Tragic Death 

The actress hung herself in the make-up room on Saturday. Tunisha was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead.

Tunisha was reportedly looking tense for the past few days and allegedly claimed her life due to depression. Police sources claim that Tunisha was allegedly pregnant and her boyfriend refused to marry her.

Who is Tunisha Sharma?

Tunisha was playing the lead role of 'Mariyam' on Sony SAB's show 'Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul'.

Tunisha started acting when she was just a kid. She made her Bollywood debut with the film 'Fitoor' where she played the younger version of Katrina Kaif.

She again played the younger Katrina in 'Baar Baar Dekho'. Apart from this, Tunisha also shared screen space with Vidya Balan in 'Kahaani 2'.
