Supreme Court Grants Interim Bail to Vikram Bhatt And His Wife Shwetambari Bhatt In Fraud Case
Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambari Bhatt, have been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in the fraud case. The next hearing of the case will take place on February 19, 2026.

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari Bhatt were arrested on December 7, 2025 after Dr. Ajay Murdia, founder of Indira IVF, filed an FIR against them in Udaipur, alleging that the couple cheated him of Rs. 30 crore. After being in jail for more than two months, Vikram and Shwetambari have now finally got an interim bail.
On January 31, the Rajasthan High Court rejected their bail applications, but on Friday, the Supreme Court granted them an interim bail. The order was passed by a bench led by CJI Surya Kant, and the next hearing of the case will take place on February 19, 2026.

Dr. Ajay Murdia claimed that he had invested the money into making a biopic about his late wife. But the money was siphoned off by showing fake bills and receipts.

The movie mentioned above is Tumko Meri Kasam, which was released last year. It starred Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, Adah Sharma, and Esha Deol in lead roles, and it failed to make a mark at the box office.
Apart from Murdia, a Pune-based film professional has accused Vikram and his daughter, Krishna Bhatt for allegedly cheating him of Rs. 13.5 crore.

Vikram was gearing up for the release of his movie Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past. The film was supposed to be released last year in November, but was postponed to 2026. Later, it was supposed to hit big screens on February 6, 2026, but it wasn't released.
Now, as Bhatt has got an interim bail, we wonder if the movie will hit the big screens soon. It stars Mahaakshay Chakraborty in the lead role, who also featured in the first part of the franchise.
