'Someone Has Overpowered His Brain': Aarya Reveals Prateik Babbar Did NOT Invite Father Raj Babbar To His Wedding

Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar is all set to tie the knot with actress Priya Banerjee on the occasion of Valentine's Day on Friday. However, his half brother Aarya Babbar revealed that the actor did not invite his father Raj Babbar to the wedding, and someone might have "influenced him".

For those unversed, Prateik is the son of Raj Babbar and late actress Smita Patil, aka, Silk Smita. During a chat with ETimes, his half-brother Aaryan shared that none of the Babbars were invited as family to Prateik's wedding.

Stating that he does not understand the reason behind Prateik's decision to exclude his own family from his wedding, Aarya added, "I presume someone has overpowered his brain too much. He is not wanting to connect with anyone from this side of the family. He has decided not to call anyone."

Aarya went on to say that while he understands Prateik's decision to not invite Raj Babbar's present wife, Nadira, he should have invited his father. "Life is not less than a film; someone in the house is influencing him. I don’t want to think it is Prateik, and I don’t think he is like that," the Tees Maar Khan actor added.

Prateik and Priya got engaged in January 2024 and they are all set to get married at his Bandra residence on February 14. The Chhichhore actor was earlier married to Sanya Sagar. However, after four years of marriage, they decided to split in 2023.

Recalling the moment he fell in love with Priya, Prateik had earlier said in an interview, "I was separated, going through divorce and Priya had broken off her engagement. It was then, when I slipped into her DMs in 2020. When we kissed first, it was game over. I knew it (she is the one). I was hesitant initially due to my divorce and how complicated it was. But she is my home. I am more obsessed with her."
