Who is Suman Kumari? All about 24-yr-old Bhojpuri actress held for running sex racket in Mumbai

A Bhojpuri actress, identified as Suman Kumari, has been arrested for running a prostitution racket in Mumbai.

The 24-year-old actress has been accused of pushing girls into prostitution in exchange of over Rs 50,000.

According to Mumbai Police, Suman was caught red-handed after cops raided a hotel in Goregaon post receiving a tip off.

Who is Suman Kumari?

As per a Midday report, a team of Mumbai Police sent a dummy customer to Suman, who charged Rs 50,000 to Rs 80,000 for one girl. The man asked to send three girls to Royal Palm Hotel, located in Goregaon's Aarey Colony, post which the hotel was raided, and Suman was nabbed.

Originally named Suman Yadav, the actress is popular by the name Suman Kumari or Suman Kumari Tetu Gopi.

She has been a part of several Bhojpuri films including 'Laila Majnu', 'Baap Numbari Beta 10 Numbari', 'Jomestic Box', among others.

She has also starred in a few Hindi and Punjabi songs.

The Suman Kumari case comes just a few days after television actress Aarti Mittal was arrested from Goregaon for running a prostitution racket.

Aarti was a part of several daily soaps including 'Appnapan - Badalate Rishton Ka Bandhan', 'Na Umra Ki Seema Ho', 'Yeh Hai Chahatein', 'Dharampatni', and others.

After Suman Kumari's arrest, the Mumbai Police has now launched an investigation in the area for similar prostitution rackets in the city.
