Parambrata Chatterjee, Piya Chakraborty Announce Pregnancy After 1 Year Of Marriage: 'Our Bubble Of Love Is Growing'

Vidya Balan's Kahaani actor Parambrata Chatterjee and his wife, Piya Chakraborty, are expecting their first child together. The duo, who tied the knot on November 27, 2023, in an intimate ceremony in Kolkata, shared the good news with their fans on social media on Saturday.

In a joint post, the parents-to-be wrote, "A bit late to the Valentine’s party... We were busy with this:
1. This is us
2. This is our eldest, Nina
3. Then last year came Bagha
4. Our bubble of love is growing: a human being will be joining the tribe soon! #2025 #babycomingsoon."

In 2024, the couple shared a video of themselves singing and wished each other on their first wedding anniversary. "We shall sail through sun, rain and storms.. it has been a year and looking forward to many more, ‘cause we are rather cute together. Bhalobashi tomay tai janai gaan e..Happy Anniversary to us."

The duo opted for a simple legal wedding. Sharing the official wedding photos, Parambrata shared a beautiful note inspired by T.S. Eliot’s poem, The Love Song Of J Alfred Prufrock. He wrote, "Let us go then, you and I When the evening is spread out against the sky… This is it.”

Reportedly, Parambrata and Piya were in a relationship for almost two years, however neither of them acknowledged.

Piya was previously married to singer Anupam Roy in 2015, and the couple officially announced their divorce on November 11, 2021, through a joint statement on X. Meanwhile, Parambrata was engaged to his long-distance Dutch national fiancée, Ike Schouten.

The actor was also in a relationship with actress Swastika Mukherjee, though the reason for their split remains unknown.
