Munawar Faruqui Says He Was Hospitalised For Intestine Infection 2 Days Before Wedding With Mehzabeen: 'Was Told I Can't Eat Anything'

Bigg Boss 17 winner, comedian Munawar Faruqui recently revealed that he was admitted to the hospital just two days before his wedding to makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwala. The couple tied the knot in an intimate nikkah ceremony on May 26, 2024, followed by a low-key reception, marking their second marriage. Appearing on Sana Khan's YouTube channel, Faruqui shared that he was hospitalised due to intestinal infection.

Munawar shared, "I was admitted for two days, and the doctors told me they would release me soon. But I told them, 'It’s my wedding tomorrow!' The doctor laughed but refused to discharge me immediately. He told me not to eat anything, and I agreed, I was like ok, but I have to go."

Further, the 33-year-old comedian said, "Cancel or postpone hona nahi hota hai. Sabko lag raha tha ki kaise hoga? Mein bola hojayega, mein pahunch jaunga."

Talking about his new chapter with Mehzabeen, Munawar shared, "This time, the atmosphere at home is different. I am very happy. Last Ramadan, I remember being exhausted, praying that I just want to settle down. I was tired of feeling lost. I wanted stability, and destiny gave me exactly what I needed. I am so blessed. I never imagined I would find a partner like this. My family is complete—she is like the perfect puzzle piece that was missing."

Reportedly, actress Hina Khan played cupid in Mehzabeen and Munawar's love story, helping bring the couple together.

Mehzabeen has an 11-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, while Munawar, who was previously married to Jasmine, has a seven-year-old son named Mikael.

Munawar and Mehzabeen haven't even shared photos from their wedding.
