Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff attended Lionel Messi's India tour at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. The moment turned awkward when the crowd loudly booed the actors as they were being felicitated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Messi, after greeting Ajay and Tiger, was seen patiently standing aside while the boos echoed across the stadium.

Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff, along with other celebrities, were spotted at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, December 14, for Lionel Messi's much-anticipated G.O.A.T India Tour 2025, marking the third leg of the tour after his appearances in Kolkata and Hyderabad on Saturday. However, the event turned awkward when the crowd loudly booed the actors as they were being felicitated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff Booed During Felicitation At Messi's Event
In the video shared by several users on X (formerly Twitter), Tiger was called on stage and described as a 'youth icon' and 'India's youngest action star.' He was invited as he is the face of Project Mahadeva, an initiative aimed at identifying, nurturing, and training young football talent across Maharashtra.
Ajay was felicitated next and introduced as an actor whose work consistently reflects discipline and purpose. It was also stated that through his film Maidaan, based on the life of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, he highlighted the golden era of Indian football.

However, when Tiger and Ajay were invited on stage and were being felicitated, they were loudly booed by the crowd at Wankhede Stadium.
Messi, after greeting Ajay and Tiger, was seen patiently standing aside as the boos echoed across the stadium.

Meanwhile, towards the end of the event, Messi shared a special moment with Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who presented him with a Team India jersey. Messi later returned the gesture by gifting Tendulkar a football, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
He was also seen holding the Indian flag, while Luis Suárez proudly carried Uruguay's colours and Rodrigo De Paul waved Argentina's flag.
Meanwhile, Messi is scheduled to arrive in Delhi on Monday, accompanied by his Inter Miami teammates Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.
