Reality show star Uorfi Javed recently opened up about her struggle with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), a mental health condition where a person becomes overly concerned with perceived flaws in their appearance. She revealed that she battled BDD 3-4 years ago and had stopped eating, starving herself to look 'extremely' skinny.

'Wanted To Be Skinny, So I Stopped Eating': Uorfi Javed

Speaking to Anshula Kapoor on her YouTube channel Bunkk with Uorfi, she shared that she had stopped eating because she wanted to be skinny, surviving on just 3-4 pieces of chicken a day. She added that she wouldn't even work out properly but just would go for a run.

Uorfi Javed Shared How She Was Always Cranky

Furthermore, Uorfi added, "Mentally, I was f**ked. I was always cranky, I was always annoyed. If anyone spoke to me, I would be like 'Why are you talking to me?' But recently, I have started going to the gym. I have started lifting weights. I have started eating well. Now I don’t care about being skinny."

She recently grabbed eyeballs for her honesty after sharing a video of herself with extremely swollen lips following the removal of her lip fillers after nine years. While several people poked fun at her, many lauded her for showing her truth and embracing her unfiltered self.

Uorfi won the first season of the reality show The Traitors along with Nikita Luther. The duo shared the prize money and took home Rs 70 lakh.

After winning the show, Uorfi became a target of online hatred and received death and rape threats from fans of her co-contestants, Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha. Some trolls went as far as calling her names like 'cheater' and 'prostitute.'
