Is the British rock band Coldplay coming to an end? Speculation erupted after a social media post claiming, "THE END OF COLDPLAY!" went viral. The post alleged that the band members are going their separate ways to explore individual career paths following their latest album, Moon Music. But is this actually true, or just an April Fool’s prank?

A user named Coldplay Access took to X to claim, "After their last album, Moon Music, and the end of their tour, Coldplay comes to an end." The post further added that the band shared the news themselves on social media. It also claimed that Chris Martin will be pursuing his career in acting in Hollywood, while Jonny Buckland will be taking care of his sheep farm in North London.

The post quickly gained attention, with many asking in the comments whether it was true. When someone asked what Will Champion and Guy Berryman would do, Coldplay Access replied, "Guy will be starting a new magazine about cats & dogs, while Will will pursue a solo career as a pop star (finally without Chris's intervention)."

However, when we checked Coldplay’s official social media handles, there was no such news. Fans quickly realized it was just an April Fool’s prank. One tweeted, "April fool is over at 12pm." Another wrote, "It's April 1st peeps." Another fan added, "Omg I got scared . Then I realized."

Coldplay returned to India in January 2025 as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour, marking their first full tour in the country since their 2016 performance at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. The band performed five shows across two cities, three concerts at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, followed by two shows at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26. These concerts drew massive crowds and widespread excitement among Indian fans.
