Veteran singer Asha Bhosle has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. Her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle confirmed the news, saying, “My grandmother, Asha Bhosle is undergoing treatment," while requesting privacy.

Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle, 92, has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday, April 11, sparking concern among fans after reports claimed she suffered a cardiac arrest and that her condition is critical. Soon after, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle confirmed the news on social media, urging privacy during this time.

On Saturday, Zania shared a photo with Asha and wrote, "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection has been admitted to hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively."

All About Asha Bhosle
One of the most influential singers of her time, Asha Bhosle made her playback debut in the 1943 Marathi drama Majha Bal and later entered Bollywood with the song Sawan Aya' in the 1948 film Chunariya. S
She has sung in around 20 Indian and foreign languages and, according to her own statement in 2006, has recorded nearly 12,000 songs. The veteran singer, known for iconic tracks like Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Dil Cheez Kya Hai, Inn Aankhon Ki Masti Ke, Rangeela Re, Radha Kaise Na Jale, and Sharara Sharara.
Over her decades-long career, Asha worked with legendary composers including Shankar-Jaikishan, Sachin Dev Burman, R.D. Burman, O.P. Nayyar, Ilaiyaraaja, Bappi Lahiri, and A.R. Rahman, earning numerous accolades such as the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
