Aditya Dhar Issues Notice To Santosh Kumar RS For Claiming That Dhurandhar 2 Makers Copied His Story: Report

A few days ago, a filmmaker named Santosh Kumar RS, during a press conference, claimed that the makers of Dhurandhar 2 copied his story. He was supposed to make a film titled D Saheb with the same story. However, now, according to a report, Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar has sent a legal notice to Kumar.

A source told Hindustan Times, “Aditya Dhar has already issued a notice to Santosh Kumar through his legal team, refuting the allegations and requesting him to refrain from making false claims. Despite the aforesaid, since Santosh continues to make baseless allegations, Aditya is in the process of initiating appropriate legal proceedings against him.”

Meanwhile, Kumar has stated that he has received a notice, but an email from the makers. He said, “It is not a notice, it is just a reply on my mail. They were harassing me, that I should not complain and that I am defaming them for my publicity. I told them in going legal, so don't send me messages, come to court.”

Kumar has stated that his film revolves around a young boy whose family is attacked by criminals, and he takes revenge by killing people. The boy gets arrested and is later sent to Pakistan by RAW to finish the terrorism. Kumar has claimed that Dhar has taken the main points from his story and added political propaganda.

The writer-director further said, “I could not reach director Aditya Dhar. I contacted the production house, Jio Studios. They said we are just producers, you have to discuss this with B62 Studios. I am filing a case against them. The producers are harassing me for making the story public, ‘Why are you going public, saying bogus?’ I told them, ‘Come and legally answer me’.”

Meanwhile, Dhar or the producers of the film have not yet shared any statement about the plagiarism allegations.

In 15 days, Dhurandhar 2 has collected Rs. 937.82 crore net at the box office in India, and the worldwide gross collection is Rs. 1,492.77 crore.
