Aamir Khan Starrer Sitaare Zameen Par Gets Clearance From CBFC After A Small Issue
Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par was reportedly facing an issue with CBFC as they were asking for two cuts and the actor was not ready to accept it. However, according to a latest report, the RS Prasanna directorial has been cleared by CBFC. Reportedly, Aamir was supposed to meet the CBFC Examining Committee on Monday and discuss about it.

A couple of days ago, there was a report that the Central Board Of Film Certification has asked for two cuts in Sitaare Zameen Par, but Aamir Khan is not ready to accept them, and he will be meeting the CBFC Examining Committee on Monday and discuss it. Now, a report in Bollywood Hungama states that the makers of the film have given an update that the movie has been cleared by the CBFC.
It is not yet revealed how the issue was solved. Did Aamir agree for the cuts, or did CBFC agree to pass the film without cuts? Well, only the makers or CBFC can answer this question.

Earlier, while talking about the issue between Aamir and CBFC, a source had told the portal, “With Aamir Khan not accepting the cuts, the censor certificate wasn’t awarded to Sitaare Zameen Par. Aamir now plans to once again meet the CBFC Examining Committee on Monday and put forward his point of view. Hopefully, a solution will be achieved and the CBFC will pass the film on June 16. Once that’s done, the advance booking of the film will be thrown open. As per rules, cinemas can’t sell tickets in the absence of a censor certificate."

While reportedly the film has been cleared by CBFC, the advance booking is yet to open. It is expected that the Aamir Khan starrer will take a decent start at the box office and will grow on word of mouth. Reportedly, Sitaare Zameen Par will be released in around 3000 screens.
Aamir's last few films have not done well at the box office. So, now all eyes are on Sitaare Zameen Par.
