Bengaluru Class 6 Student Dies After Collapsing During School Exercise; PT Teacher Booked For Murder
A 12-year-old boy, Gurukiran, died under mysterious circumstances at a Bengaluru residential school after reportedly collapsing during morning jogging. While the school claims he suffered a cardiac arrest, his parents and classmates allege he was assaulted by a physical education teacher. Police have registered a murder case against the teacher as they await the final post-mortem report.

The Bagaluru police in Bengaluru have registered a murder case against Narayana, a physical education teacher at a residential school, after a 12-year-old boy died on Wednesday morning under mysterious circumstances.
While the school authorities claim that the boy, Gurukiran, collapsed during morning jogging, the parents and some of the students alleged that he was assaulted by the physical education teacher, leading to his death.
The preliminary examination by the doctors has revealed that the boy died due to cardiac arrest, but the exact reason will be known only after the complete post-mortem report is made available.

Gurukiran's parents lived in Subedar Palya, and he was studying in the 6th standard at Sterling English Boarding School. On Wednesday morning, at around 6 am, Gurukiran's father, Raghavendra, received a call from the school saying that his son had collapsed during the morning jogging. When he rushed to the hospital, Gurukiran was declared dead on arrival by the doctors.
The parents and family members caught hold of Narayana and assaulted him in front of the police. Later, the police rescued Narayana and took him into their custody. The parents alleged that Gurukiran was tortured and assaulted by the teachers. Later, some of the students also said that the physical education teacher assaulted Gurukiran before he died. The parents alleged that Gurukiran was assaulted with an iron rod on the head.
Though the post-mortem was conducted on Wednesday itself, the report was not made public. On Thursday morning, the police registered a murder case against Narayana and took him into their custody.
