Hindalco Consolidated Net Profit Jumps 75% To ₹7,013 Crore In Q1

Mumbai: Hindalco Industries Ltd on Thursday announced a 75.16 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹7,013 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, compared to ₹4,004 crore in the same period last year.

Consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter rose to ₹84,825 crore, up from ₹64,232 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue Performance

The company's total consolidated income for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 stood at ₹85,882 crore, an increase from ₹64,834 crore reported in the quarter ended 30 June 2025.

Expenses and Exceptional Items

Total consolidated expenses for the quarter were ₹74,196 crore, up from ₹59,160 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. The company reported exceptional expenses (net) of ₹2,299 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026.

Earnings Per Share

Consolidated basic earnings per share increased to ₹31.58 for the quarter, compared to ₹18.03 in the same quarter last year.

Novelis Borrowings Update

Novelis amended its ABL Revolver facility on 16 June 2026, increasing the maximum revolving amount by US $500 million to an aggregate total of US $3.0 billion.

The company also entered an uncommitted revolving facility agreement for up to US $500 million during the quarter ended 30 June 2026.

Term Loan Facility

On 23 July 2026, Novelis secured a term loan facility of US $500 million from MUFG, DBS, Credit Agricole and BNP Paribas. This facility matures on 24 July 2028 and carries interest at Term SOFR plus 1.00% per annum, with a potential increase to 1.25% based on credit rating.

CBI Case Update

In a legal development, the Hon'ble Special Court discharged the company and all other accused from proceedings related to alleged misutilisation of coal mined in a deallocated mine. The order and judgment were issued on 30 May 2026.
