Sehore Collector Chandramohan Thakur gets Yellow Belt in Martial Arts

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): Collector Chandramohan Thakur is taking training in Martial Arts and has received a ‘Yellow Belt’ in it amidst all his busy schedule.

Besides, the collector's 8-year-old daughter Abhilasha too takes training in martial arts for self-defence.

According to reports, Chandramohan has a fondness for martial arts and he wanted his daughter Akshara to be trained in it. Following which he reached an Academy of Martial Arts in the city with his daughter and decided that he too would learn it and get the black belt.

Collector Chandramohan claims that martial arts is a sport in which with hard work one can defend themselves with the problems in any adverse situation. He thinks that in order to reduce the crime against women, the only way is to get women trained in martial arts from a young age.

Collector gets training for two hours regularly at the academy and then motivates the students.

Chandramohan is an IAS officer of 2012 batch. He said, “I had to get a black belt in martial arts. When I got a chance to fulfil this dream in Sehore itself, I immediately joined the academy. I am happy to pass the first Yellow Belt examination of my life.”
