MP News: 6 Dead In Three Separate Road Accidents Within 24 Hours In Jabalpur

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): As many as six people lost their lives in three separate road accidents within 24 hours in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, as reported by police on Monday.  

All the incidents are said to have taken place on Sunday, highlighting the growing problem of unsafe roads and negligent driving in the region.

2 friends die on the spot, accused absconding

The first accident took place near Tilgawa turn on Patan Road. Jitendra Garg (25) and his friend Ratnesh Ahirwar, residents of Singpur in Satna district, were travelling on a motorcycle when an unidentified vehicle hit them at high speed. 

The impact was so severe that both died on the spot. The vehicle driver fled immediately after the crash. Police have informed the families and started an investigation to trace the vehicle.

3 from family pass away 

The second incident occurred near the Pariyat River in the Kundam area. 60-year-old Chhotelal Singh from Jamunia was travelling on a motorcycle with his son-in-law, Santer Singh Maravi (33), and grandson, Rahul Singh (22), on their way to Dungariya village. 

A ply-board loaded auto collided with their bike, killing all 3 on the spot. The auto overturned due to the impact, injuring its driver. Police have registered a case against the negligent auto driver and begun further inquiry.

Accident in Bhedaghat area

The third accident happened in Bhedaghat police station limits, near the Option Hotel in Bilkharwa village. According to locals, vehicles are often parked haphazardly along the roadside outside the hotel due to poor parking management. This leads to frequent accidents.

On Sunday, a 2-wheeler rider lost his life in a crash reportedly caused by this disorganised parking.

Post-mortem examinations have been completed, and the bodies are being handed over to the families. Police are investigating all three cases.
