MP News: Key Witness In Old Shooting Case Abducted, Beaten In Gwalior Over Seven-Year-Old Liquor-Trade Rivalry

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A prolonged gang war escalated after a key witness in a shooting case was abducted, brutally beaten, and narrowly escaped a gunshot aimed to intimidate him into recanting his testimony in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior.

According to reports, the incident is linked to a seven-year-old enmity and a turf war over dominance in the liquor trade. Tilli—alias Gaurav Yadav—is a key witness in a case involving a shooting attack on the gangster Bunty—alias Ajay Singh Bhadoria—that took place two years ago near the Kanch Mill culvert. The accused targeted him specifically to influence this testimony.

The victim, Gaurav, recounted that he was forcibly bundled into a car near a hotel at Gate No. 1, Deendayal Nagar, and taken to Jaderua. There, Hemu Sikarwar, Dinnu Sikarwar, and Vijay Pandit were already present. The accused threatened him, demanding that he refrain from testifying in court.

When he resisted, they stripped him of his clothes, beat him with a belt, and fired a shot over his head. He ducked instinctively, thereby narrowly escaping the bullet. After holding him captive for approximately one hour, they released him in Pritam Vihar.

Notably, Vijay Pandit—one of the individuals involved in this crime—had already been involved in a shooting incident just 24 hours prior. The police are actively searching for the accused. Currently, the police have deployed multiple teams to cordon off the area and apprehend the criminals, and a case of attempted murder has been registered against the accused.

Maharajpura TI Yashwant Goyal said, "We received information regarding the assault and abduction of a young man. The police launched a search operation to apprehend the miscreants, but they had already abandoned the youth and fled the scene before we could reach them."

Raids are currently being conducted to locate the accused. An old dispute between the victim and the accused has come to light, and the accused will be arrested shortly. " Goyal added.
