Madhya Pradesh June 4, 2026, Weather Updates: Orange Alert For Hailstorm In Neemuch & 4 Others; Rain & Thunderstorm Warning Across 39 Areas Including Bhopal
Southwest monsoon is likely to enter Madhya Pradesh after June 20, around a week later than usual. Meanwhile, pre-monsoon activity is bringing thunderstorms, rain, hail and strong winds across the state. Hailstorm alerts have been issued for five districts, while 39 districts remain under rain alerts.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The southwest monsoon is expected to enter Madhya Pradesh after June 20 this year, around five to seven days later than its usual arrival date.
However, pre-monsoon activity continues across the state, bringing thunderstorms, rain and strong winds.
Weather on Thursday
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), weather conditions changed in more than 30 districts on Wednesday. For Thursday, the department has issued a rain and thunderstorm alert for 39 districts.
Hailstorm: An orange alert for hailstorm has been issued in Neemuch, Sheopur, Morena, Tikamgarh and Chhatarpur.
Thunderstorm & Rain: A yellow alert for thunderstorm and rain has been issued in Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Ujjain, Neemuch, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, Narmadapuram, Betul, Gwalior, Guna, Shivpuri, Datia, Ashoknagar, Bhind, Jabalpur, Katni, Chhindwara, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Balaghat, Mandla, Pandhurna, Rewa, Satna, Mauganj, Sagar, Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari.
Heat: Indore, Dhar, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Harda, Maihar, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Shahdol, Dindori and Anuppur are likely to experience hot weather
What do meteorologists say?
Meteorologists said the current weather is being influenced by pre-monsoon activity, a trough system and a western disturbance, which are triggering rainfall across the state.
However, rain and winds of up to 50 kmph are also expected in 33 other districts across the Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa divisions.
Meanwhile, Indore and Shahdol divisions may witness bright sunshine and warmer conditions.
In Bhopal, the sky remained cloudy since morning, with light drizzle and gusty winds reported in several areas.
Despite the ongoing rain activity, some cities experienced intense heat on Wednesday. Ratlam recorded the highest temperature in the state at 42°C, followed by Khargone at 41.8°C and Rajgarh at 40.6°C.
Temperatures also crossed 40°C in Khandwa, Malajkhand, Khajuraho, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Nowgong, Damoh, Umaria and Mandla.
Among the major cities, Bhopal recorded 39.4°C, Indore 38.5°C, Gwalior 38.9°C, Ujjain 39.5°C and Jabalpur 39.8°C.

Thunderstorm-Rain: An orange alert for strong thunderstorms and rain has been issued in Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Guna, Sheopur and Shivpuri.
Rain, Thunder and Lightning: Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha, Indore, Dhar, Alirajpur, Burhanpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Jhabua, Ujjain, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Gwalior, Guna, Datia, Ashoknagar, Morena, Bhind, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Balaghat, Mandla, Pandhurna, Satna, Sagar, Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari are likely to receive rain and thunderstorms.
Heat: Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Maihar, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Dindori and Anuppur are expected to experience hot weather.

Rain, Thunder and Lightning: Rain and thunderstorm activity is likely in Gwalior, Shivpuri, Datia, Morena, Bhind, Sheopur, Jabalpur, Katni, Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Pandhurna, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Mauganj, Maihar, Shahdol, Umaria, Anuppur, Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari and Betul.
Intense Heat: Hot weather is expected in Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Indore, Dhar, Alirajpur, Burhanpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Jhabua, Ujjain, Neemuch, Agar-Malwa, Mandsaur, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, Narmadapuram, Harda, Guna, Ashoknagar, Sagar and Narsinghpur.
