Madhya Pradesh July 19 2025 Weather Update: Flood Warning In 16 Districts Including Gwalior: Yellow Alert In 14 Districts Today | Representative image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Rainfall continues in many districts of the state on Friday as well. A strong rain system is active in Madhya Pradesh.
Flood-like conditions prevailed in many districts including Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Satna and Guna on Friday.
Many villages remained submerged in water and dams overflowed. The system will weaken on Saturday, but there is a danger of flood in 16 districts including Gwalior. Schools will remain closed in Shivpuri even today.

The districts which are at risk of flood include Gwalior, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Katni, Panna, Sagar, Satna, Tikamgarh, Ashoknagar, Datia, Guna, Morena, Rajgarh, Sheopur, Shivpuri and Vidisha districts.
At the same time, there is an alert of heavy rain (yellow alert) in 14 districts today. These include Gwalior, Morena, Sheopur, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Dindori and Anuppur. In the next 24 hours, up to 4.5 inches of water may fall here.
Heavy rain continued in the state on Friday. Rain fell in more than 20 districts. Shivpuri received 1.5 inches of rain in 9 hours.
Guna and Gwalior received 1.2 inches of rain. Ratlam received 1 inch of rain, Chhatarpur's Naugaon received 1 inch of rain and Datia received half an inch of rain.
Heavy and light rain continued in many districts including Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Chhatarpur's Khajuraho, Mandla, Sagar, Seoni, Tikamgarh, Balaghat, Mauganj, Rewa, Satna, Dindori, Mandsaur, Sheopur.
Due to rain in Shivpuri, holidays have been declared for schools from nursery to 12th today and gates of Madikheda Atal Sagar Dam were opened. In Chhatarpur, water is being released by opening 12 gates of Rangawa Dam, 7 gates of Kutni and 13 gates of Lahchura Dam. 200 families got trapped due to the water of Urmil river entering Dhamchi village.

According to Meteorologists, a monsoon trough is passing through the state. At the same time a depression is also active. Due to this, there was a period of very heavy and heavy rain in many districts on Friday. There will be heavy rain in many districts on Saturday but after this the system is likely to weaken.
