Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state government is gearing up for bringing Jan Vishwas Bill-2.0 after the first part of the bill.
According to the proposed Jan Vishwas Bill 2.0, small mistakes will not lead to imprisonment. The Bill is being brought under the ‘Ease of doing Business’ policy of the government.
When the government brought the Jan Vishwas Bill 1.0, 64 provisions of eight acts of five departments were amended. Now, the government is bringing the second part of the bill. After the central government, MP is the first state to have brought the bill.
The bill will be put up in the upcoming monsoon session of the House. Through this bill, the government is planning to amend 45 sessions of 23 acts of 13 departments.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain held a meeting with the members of the Senior Secretaries’ Committee on Monday to discuss the provisions of various departments to be included in the bill.
In a meeting held on July 18, an approval was given for amendment to 35 provisions of 15 acts of seven departments. The changes to be made in the provisions of the rest of the departments were discussed at Monday’s meeting.
According to reports, a format of the bill will not be put up at the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Before putting up the bill in the cabinet, there will be another meeting to discuss the issue.
The bill will be presented to the House after the cabinet’s approval. The central government also passed the Jan Vishwas Bill 2.0 during the budget session in the Lok Sabha.
The main purpose of the bill is to simplify the process for justice so that there may not be any problem for the common man.

Many amendments will be made through this bill. Anti-measles Vaccination Act 1968 is being done away with. According to the act, getting anti-measles vaccine was compulsory. The Anatomy Act of the Home Department is also being amended.
The section 208 of the Nagar Palika Act, 1961 and the section 195 of the Nagar Nigam Act 1956 will be amended. Instead of fine, penalty will imposed under the Motoryan Karadhan Rules (Motor Vehicles Taxation Rules).
Besides, the provisions for punishment for making small mistakes are being done away with.
