Jabalpur Junior Doctor Death: Family Alleges Ragging By Seniors After 21-Year-Old Jumps Off 4th Floor & Dies At Jabalpur Medical College
The deceased has been identified as Shivansh Gupta, a junior doctor of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A day after the 21-year-old MBBS student jumped off the fourth floor at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur, his family alleged ragging by the seniors on Friday.
Refuting claims of depression, his mother said that he was subjected to harsh ragging and harassment by the seniors after he bought a new bike.
The deceased has been identified as Shivansh Gupta, a junior doctor of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College.
According to information, his family have refused to believe that Shivansh died by suicide due to depression and claimed that he was being ragged by his seniors.
Shivansh had reportedly jumped from the fourth floor of his hostel on Thursday. While initial reports suggested he was battling depression, his family alleges he had been facing harassment for days.
They say the ragging began after Shivansh bought a new bike recently, which drew unwanted attention from senior students.
According to his family, he had mentioned the harassment to his mother just three days before the incident.
The family has demanded questioning of Shivansh’s batchmates and the seizure of mobile phones belonging to three students — Mayank, Yuvi Singh, and Zahir Hussain — claiming they are hiding information.
The college administration has formed a five-member committee to investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, the family continues to call for a fair probe and strict action against those responsible.
